Chorus room
The Choir RoomIn the year 1971, the Superior School of Voice Choir was created, very united to the program of the National Orchestra, having its rehearsals in this hall. Taking advantage of the superior part (back of the Palace), it was designed and built. A few years ago, and with some necessary reforms to undertake, a great skylight was added which permitted the entrance of natural light.
This hall can seat about two hundred people to facilitate the visibility of the choir, the piano and the choir master.
From the beginning, great European conductors have worked with the different School Choirs--Rossi, Muti, Von Matatick--and discipline has always outshone the enthusiasm and maximum professionalism of all its components.
In time, that Choir from the Superior School of Voice of Madrid became the National Choir.
